*** CADET TRAINING REQUIREMENTS ***
Correspondence Courses are your responsibility. If you have not completed the courses through Military Requirements for Chief Petty Officer; you must complete at least one each year to remain in the program.

Physical Training. You must pass the Physical Readiness Test in the most recent quarter in order to be promoted, attend recruit or advanced training, or participate in "high adventure" drill activities. The PRT will be given once each quarter.
Drill Attendance. The MINIMUM acceptable attendance is 75% of scheduled drills. Cadets failing to meet minimum drill attendance will not be eligible for promotion.
Recruit Training. Two week training required for all Sea Cadets during first year.
Advanced Training. Usually two weeks in duration, but may be longer or shorter depending on the individual curriculum. Required for advancement in rate.
Annual two week trainings are NOT an option - they are a requirement.

OFFICER TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
OMSG is required for INSTRUCTORS, MIDSHIPMEN AND WARRANT OFFICERS.
OPD 101 is required for appointment to ENSIGN.
OPD 201 is required for promotion to LIEUTENANT JUNIOR GRADE.
OPD 301 is required for promotion to LIEUTENANT and above.
Annual two week trainings are NOT an option at this Command. If you can't get time off from work to serve as an Escort Officer at NSCC training sites; see the CO for alternate training opportunities.
Drill attendance: 75% is the minimum allowed. Officers not meeting the minimum will not be recommended for promotion.

The Division Leading Petty Officer reports to the Executive Officer

The Executive Officer reports to the Commanding Officer.

To take charge of this post and all government property in view.

To walk my post in a military manner, keeping always on the alert, and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.

To report all violations of orders I am instructed to enforce.

To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the quarterdeck than my own.

To quit my post only when properly relieved.

To receive, obey, and pass on the sentry who relieves me all orders from the commanding officer, officer of the deck, and officers and petty officers of the watch only.

To talk to no one except in the line of duty.

To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.

To call the petty officer of the watch in any case not covered by instructions.

To salute all officers, and all colors and standards not cased.

To be especially watchful at night and, during the time for challenging, to challenge all persons on or near my post, and to allow no one to pass without proper authority.
